To all BWPA members, announcing a fantastic opportunity for all BWPA PPL’s
BWPA PEGGY FOLLIS FLYING BURSARIES
We are delighted to tell you that, thanks to the generosity of BWPA member Peggy Follis and the BWPA, we are able to offer for the second year
FOUR FLYING BURSARIES FOR BWPA MEMBERS
Four bursaries are to be flown in 2008-2009 with values of up to £1000
The aim of the bursaries is to encourage women to continue their flying post-PPL. Applicants must be BWPA members and must already hold a PPL/NPPL. The bursaries will be awarded to assist them in continuing their training to add further ratings or qualifications.
The bursaries will be administered through the Air League (as is our annual flying scholarship) to whom applications should be sent directly. Forms can be downloaded from the Air League website at www.airleague.co.uk or you can ask for a form to be sent to you by contacting Eddie Fox at the Air League on 02072 228463. You must state clearly on the form that you are a BWPA member. If you have any queries, please contact Rita Boniface

Message from Gordon Reid of NATS: -The Heathrow Flight Briefing Unit has moved to the new tower and therefore has new contact numbers. The new numbers may be re-routed, but the new ones are the official and most reliable contact method.

Congratularions to Tricia Nelmes and Christine Collyer, who were clothed as Liverymen of the Guild of Air Pilots and Navigators (GAPAN) at the Guild's annual Trophies and Awards Banquet at the Guildhall. There are currently 17 female Liverymen in the Guild out of a total of over 500.
